Blair Keagy MD, CEO
Dr. Keagy was chief of the Division of Vascular
Surgery at the University of North Carolina (UNC) from 1993-2008. During that
tenure he was a Distinguished Professor of Surgery and served as Program
Director of the UNC Vascular Residency Program. He is Past President of the
National Association of Program Directors in Vascular Surgery and Past
President of the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery. He also served on
the Board of Directors for the Society for Vascular Surgery and the American
Board of Vascular Surgery. He is a graduate of
Dr. Keagy has had
an in-depth interest in the business aspects of medical practice and published
a book entitled Essentials of
Physician Practice Management (559 pages hardcover, Jossey-Bass). He taught a courses
in Practice Management at the UNC School of Public Health and in the Statistics
of Clinical Trials to postgraduate fellows in the UNC School of Medicine.
Dr. Keagy has
published more than 50 articles in peer reviewed journals and has written many
book chapters. He has been an invited speaker at numerous medical meetings
including those related to the economics of medical practice. He has been a
consultant for medical device manufacturers and served on Medical Advisory
Boards. He has written clinical trial protocols for device manufacturers,
designed their case report forms and assisted with product reimbursement
strategies.
With a core group of practicing clinicians
and a broad network of associate resources, MPAnalytics can provide expertise
and support for a wide variety of product development activities.
