Our Focus

We provide support through the entire product development lifecycle – from evaluating the potential of new ideas to creating a successful launch plan. We reduce much of the risk associated with unproven concepts, uncertain regulatory approvals, clinical trials, and reimbursement issues.

MPAnalytics was established by a group of clinically active specialty physicians with extensive experience in consulting with industry. Founding members of our firm have collectively:

  • Served on Numerous Medical Advisory Boards
  • Been principal investigators on more than 40 Clinical Trials
  • Advised CMS on Reimbursement Issues
  • Authored more than 100 articles in peer reviewed journals
  • Are Members of FDA Advisory panels

In addition to practicing physicians MPAnalytics includes experts in hospital and physician reimbursement, statistical analysis, regulatory issues, government funding, and case report form design.

Blair Keagy, MD - Founder and CEO

Blair Keagy MD, CEO Dr. Keagy was chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of North Carolina (UNC) from 1993-2008. During that tenure he was a Distinguished Professor of Surgery and served as Program Director of the UNC Vascular Residency Program. He is Past President of the National Association of Program Directors in Vascular Surgery and Past President of the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Society for Vascular Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Surgery. He is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He did his residency training at the University of North Carolina and received Board Certification in General Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Keagy has had an in-depth interest in the business aspects of medical practice and published a book entitled Essentials of Physician Practice Management (559 pages hardcover, Jossey-Bass). He taught a courses in Practice Management at the UNC School of Public Health and in the Statistics of Clinical Trials to postgraduate fellows in the UNC School of Medicine.

Dr. Keagy has published more than 50 articles in peer reviewed journals and has written many book chapters. He has been an invited speaker at numerous medical meetings including those related to the economics of medical practice. He has been a consultant for medical device manufacturers and served on Medical Advisory Boards. He has written clinical trial protocols for device manufacturers, designed their case report forms and assisted with product reimbursement strategies.

With a core group of practicing clinicians and a broad network of associate resources, MPAnalytics can provide expertise and support for a wide variety of product development activities.
